Surf's Up!

Good morning peeps!  Hope everyone is well and staying cool, it has been hot hot hot here in Mass lately.  They are saying the heat may break today after some thunderstorms (which I hate, somewhere along the way I have developed a totally irrational fear of lightning).  I am lucky enough to work in a nice air conditioned office, but we have some employees that are out there working in the heat.  Poor guys!  We do buy them some cold drinks, and ice cream sandwiches for a treat on hot days like we have been having.
This card is for my Hubby's, cousin's son (did you follow that one?  LOL)  Lifeguard Christian was part of a Limited Release at Simply Betty Stamps that I was lucky to snag.  He's not available anymore at the moment, but there are TONS of awesome images to pick from!  I saw that the new challenge over at Simply Challenged Challenges is Summer Fun, so this was perfect.  I started out with Sketch # 108 at Stamps & Fun = Creativity.

I veered off course a little with it, but it was a good starting point.  Christian is colored with Copics, and I popped the panel up with foam squares.  He looks a lot like the recipient, he is a cutie pie.  Ribbon and brads both from stash.

I'm so glad I was finally able to use a Simply Betty digi, I have quite a few now but just haven't had a chance to use them.
