Corrosive Challenge #229 - To "Die" For

Happy Sunday!  This is a super duper exciting day for us at The Corrosive Challenge!!!  Not only do we have a new challenge, but we have a bigger and better team to announce!  It's so amazing to have some new talent to introduce and help us showcase our fabulous sponsors.  Be sure to check out the post to meet our awesome new team members, and give them some love!  To go along with our newbies, we are excited to welcome back one of our newer sponsors, Oddball Art:
Oddball Art

Artist Lizzy Love calls her Etsy store her "little shop of oddities, some creepy, some cute and all around Oddball Art!"
And if digis aren't your thing, there are rubber stamps available at Whimsy Stamps.

The challenge this time 'round is to use one or more die cuts on your project, the more the merrier!  I must admit, my collection of die cuts is probably far fewer than most.  But I did just get a few new ones so I was in luck.

We were offered several adorable images to work with, it was hard to choose, but I used the cute and cuddly Chubs The Panda.
Isn't he just adorbs!  I used a Spellbinders Nestabilities Circle diecut for the main image, and my newly acquired banner diecut from La La Land Crafts.  Papers are all from "Today Tomorrow Forever" Recollections paper pad.  Chubs is colored with Copics.  Brads and button from stash.  A relatively simple card, but it will make a perfect card for a little one someday.

Can't wait to see some projects that might just make us keel over, bust out those diecuts and slay us with your entries!  The winner will receive 3 digis of their choice.

Thanks so much for stopping by.

Corrosive Challenge # 227 - Leave a Little Sparkle

Hello out there!  It's been awhile again since a new post for me.  I just can't seem to find the time to squeeze in Blogging anymore.  Hard to squeeze everything in, and something has to take a back seat, so the blog it is.
I was glad to be able to play along with the new challenge over at The Corrosive Challenge as one of my favorite companies is the sponsor.  A Day For Daisies images are just so sweet and pretty and whimsical, I just adore them all.  I worked with one that is actually a freebie right now!  Holding Fireflies With Wings is available for the Month of June.  Isn't she so pretty?

She is colored with Copics, then fussy cut and mounted to a circle of black cardstock.  I totally cased this from this blog here:  http://melstampz.blogspot.com/2011/03/night-sky-backgrounds-card-2-free.html.  Lately, since I don't really enter challenges, and don't have the time to search for layouts, I often just google the image I want to use and just case a card I like using that image, especially since I am terrible at coming up with a layout on my own.

I used white colored pencil to create the fireflies, then added some stickles to the centers (that's the challenge this time 'round by the way!  Add some sparkle to your creations, show some glam and glitz!)  Everything else is just from my stash, pretty simple really.

Happy Father's Day to all the Dad's out there!

Quickie

Ok, here with a quickie, I really haven't stopped making cards altogether, just don't have a chance to blog them.  Wanted to share this one, made for a co-worker/friend/family member.  He loves to celebrate his bag day, so I had to make a great card.  I have had Brianna Blaster printed out for forever, but always found her a bit daunting to color.  I decided to finally give her a go!
She is colored with Copics, and I added some metal brads, gears, and a clock all from Michaels.  The flower stickers were in my stash, as were the papers.  Overall, I was pretty pleased how she turned out!  And I'm pretty sure the recipient liked it as well.

I will be entering the new "Anything Goes" Challenge over at Kenny K's Krafty Krew.

Happy Friday!!

Thanks for stopping by,

Jasmine

Wishful Thinking!

Holy moly, two posts in just a couple weeks.  I might just be getting some of my mojo back!  It's officially SPRING in New England...so of course, it's SNOWING...again.

To take my mind off this miserable winter, I thought I would have a go at the Challenge going on over at Saturated Canary (drawn by the wonderfully talented Krista Smith), using 1 of 2 (or both) images available here.

I decided to use the super hip Beach Ink image.  As a "collector" of tattoos myself, I just love this tatted up beach babe.  She is colored with Copics, papers are DCWV Tahiti Beach Stack, flowers and embellies from stash and Michaels.  I totally cased the card posted on the Facebook Page by Zara Petkova because it is AMAZING.
Some winners will be chosen by vote, so if you feel so inclined, pop on over here, pick your faves and give them a vote.  Thanks to Krista for the awesome inspiration, and here's hoping it might actually FEEL like spring soon.

Thanks for stopping by!

Corrosive Challenge # 220 - Our Animal Friends

Hello there!  I know I've been quiet for some time now.  Between work, my sons activities, hubby back to work full time, and obligatory crafting, I just wasn't able to keep up with all the challenges and blogging with my Corrosive Challenge team, but I am grateful that Regan let me stay on board behind the scenes, and I love when I do have a chance to participate.

We have a brand new sponsor for this one, the super cute, and very unique PpinkydollsWhen I saw the images available for this challenge, I just had to make time to play along.  I totally have a thing for owls, so I couldn't resist the adorable Moon Girl and Owl.  Her Etsy shop can be found HERE and you can also find some awesome inspiration at the PPinkydolls Facebook Page.

Our theme for this one is to include an animal on your project.  There are a lot of animal lovers on the team!  The lucky winner will receive a prize of 3 digis!
This cutie is colored with Copics, I love the effect that happens with the shading that's already part of the images.  Papers and embellies all from stash (I really could use a crafty shopping spree).  I was back and forth whether this needed "more" but then I decided it was just fine with just a few things added.

And here's a closeup, for the heck of it.
It was so much fun to play along with this one, and I hope to see lots of entries over at the Corrosive Challenge!

Thanks for stopping by.
