Dreams Come True

Good morning!  Hope everyone is contentedly stuffed full of Turkey, mashed potatoes and pies.  I LOVE turkey dinner.  It's so hard to believe Christmas is right around the corner now.  My family really enjoys Christmas and lights, and decorating and Christmas music though, so it can never come soon enough for me :-)  One more challenge to go for The Corrosive Challenge this month with our fabulous sponsor, A Day For Daisies.  The challenge this week is....Anything Goes!  Couldn't be easier than that!
I needed a card for a Bridal shower, and Dreams Do Come True was perfect for the occasion.  She is colored with Copics.  Sentiment is one I have had for sometime, cut out with a circle punch mounted on shimmery red cardstock cut out with scalloped circle Spellbinder and popped up with foam.
Papers:  Cloud 9 Design "Cinnamon Stick" stack, others from stash
Embellies:  Wilton 4" Silver doily, Recollections Embellishments pack Aqua flower and Antique lace chipboard, W.O.C. Roses and Cherry Blossoms, Glitter Hearts from stash, Hemptique "Metallic Classic" twine.
We are really looking forward to seeing all sorts of creations over at The Corrosive Challenge.  The sky's the limit!
Thanks for dropping by.

Corrosive Challenge - Flutter By

Good morning all.  I can't believe it's time for November challenges!  Where on earth does the time go?  How is Christmas only 2 months away?!  I will say October was a challenging month for myself and my family for many reasons, and so many people have been devastated by Hurricane Sandy.  My thoughts are with everyone effected by the storm.  Here's hoping that November is a better month for everyone.

We're off too a good start, because this month at The Corrosive Challenge I am so excited about our sponsor for November, A Day For Daisies! I have been a fan of ADFD for quite awhile.  I just love all the fairies, pixies, vintage, and just positively whimsical images available.  The first challenge of the month is "Flutter By".  We want to see a project featuring something with wings.  I chose to work with an image I have had printed for awhile called "Small Friend".  My son was in the room when I decided to start coloring, so I asked him his opinion and he was adamant about purple hair, so that's where I started and it all "took off" (pun intended, lol) from there.
Sketch was # 232 from Sketch Saturday
I decided to keep things relatively clean and simple, and stick with the sketch for the most part. I did add some W.O.C. purple cherry blossoms in the corner to add a little dimension.  The image is colored with Copics, and cut with a Scalloped Circle Spellbinder.  I sponged around the image with Studio G yellow chalks ink.  The green paper was Bazzill Basics - Two Scoops "Mint Chip", and the purple was from stash.  Brads, pearls, and velvet ribbon also from stash.  I also added Eucalyptus Stickles to the wings, and glossy accents to the snail.  That's about it, folks!
I am looking forward to the Thanksgiving and Christmas Holidays, and to seeing some inspiring "flighty" creations at The Corrosive Challenge.

Thanks so much for popping in!
