Love Birds

Another Valentine, this time for my Mom and Stepdad who live in Florida.  I wasn't actually planning on making a Valentine card for them, but I was going through some images I had printed out for future use and have always thought this was just the sweetest image.  I stumbled across this image at Marker Guru some time ago.  I probably end up sending them more cards than they know what to do with, but I can't help myself most times!  Paper is Meadow by BasicGrey from the Urban Prairie collection.  Flower is Martha Stewart.

I am probably in the minority about not caring much about football (I'm more of a Bruins girls thanks to my hockey playing Hubby), but I do like when there is a local team to root for, and I am looking forward to some bad-for-you snacks for SuperBowl Sunday (all the commercials for Sonic Chili-Tots have inspired me).  Hope everyone has a fun weekend!  GO PATS!!

Valentine Beer

This sexy lady (and a beer) are a Valentine card for my husband.  We both have an affinity for beer, wine, Mojitos...you get the point ;-).  I thought this image was perfect for a card for him.  She is a Blue Butterfly Digi Stamp from their Pinup Girls collection named "Ginger Beer".  She can be purchased here Bizzy Becs.  I think I stumbled on this site just doing a Google search for "sexy Valentine digi stamps", and voila!  In addition to being drawn to images of fairies and mermaids, I also really like vintage and pin up images.  The striped paper in the background is from a stack called Downtown Loft.  The woodgrain paper and bakers twine were both purchased at a store in Westford, MA called Ink About It, which is dangerously close to where I work for those times I am in need of some retail therapy and an escape from my workday.  A few jewels and some glitter for the beer foam added the final touches.  Hope he likes it!  Perhaps I'll give him a six-pack to go with it, LOL.

Triple Sassy Birthdays

I had several Birthday Cards to make in January, and I guess I was feeling Sassy!  All images were Freebies from the Sassy Studio Designs Papercraft Planet group.  I must admit, I am terrible at naming and filing my images so I don't recall the names of these, but they are some fun, cute and sexy ladies!  The first two were for friends, and the last one was an order for my neighbor's Mom, who was turning 60. She came up with the awesome sentiment herself, it was a bit of an inside joke between her and her Mother.  Papers and embellishments were all from stash on hand, the layouts are similar, because sometimes if I find one that works out, I just keep using it.  If it ain't broke, right?  That's all for now, perhaps I'll actually be able to finish the card I started 3 days ago this weekend ;-)  Have a wonderful Saturday!

Sweet Pea Thank You

This was a thank you card for a family friend who surprised us at Christmas with a lovely gift for me and my son.  It is an image from Sweet Pea Stamps, whom I absolutely adore.  It's dangerous to my wallet when I visit their website!  I happened to have the paper on hand, and knew it would be a perfect fit with the image.  She is colored with a mix of Copics and Stampin' Up markers, ribbon, flowers and jewels just from my growing stash.

First!

OK, Regan, you win.  My good friend and whom I like to call my "Stamping Sensei" has convinced me to start a blog so I can expand my card-making horizons and try to get some of my creations out there by joining in some challenges.  She has her own fabulous blog here: Charmed Stamping.
We enjoy getting together for some crafty evenings, although most times I think we do more chatting than crafting!  I was a little reluctant at first, but I think I may just enjoy this whole blogging and challenges...um challenge in the long run.  I'll be posting again soon as I have several cards I've completed and others that are almost ready to share.  Thanks in advance for checking out my random thoughts & creations.
