For Abby

Sadly this is another loss of pet card :-(  My parents had to put their companion Abby down last Friday.  She had cancer and had hung on for awhile, but it was just her time.  She was a rescue dog from the pound, and lived a long, happy, spoiled and full life, always by my stepmother's side.  I know she and my father are heartbroken.  It's always so noticeable when a pet is gone, you get so used to them always being there that their absence is palpable when they aren't around anymore.  Sigh.  Hopefully this will be the last of these kind of cards for a long while!
The image is "Quiet Fairy" from A day for daisies.  She is colored with Copics, with some Icicle Stickles added to her wings, fussy cut and popped up with foam squares.  She is mounted on a "Lacey Circle" using Spellbinders die cut, and the "leaves" are from "Pine" punch by McGill.  Sentiment is from a set by Hero Arts called "Petite Messages".  Sketch is # 95 this week at Stamps & Fun = Creativity, which I will be entering for the challenge.

The rest:
Papers:  My Mind's Eye - "Miss Caroline", Crate Paper - Pretty Party "Stitch", and card stock from stash.
Embellishments:  Martha Stewart Quilled Butterflies, BBP Twisted Flowers, Wild Orchid roses, Queen & Co Pearls.

Give your fuzzy friends an extra EXTRA snuggle.

Hope everyone is having a great week, almost the weekend now, phew.

Oh, Jasmine, I'm so sorry for your dad and stepmom! I'm sending comforting thoughts! The loss of a beloved pet is heartbreaking! I'm sure they appreciated this thoughtful and adorable card! Such pretty colors and sweet image! Love the quilled butterfly! And of course your coloring is lovely! The Stickles make her wings just delightful!
