Little Bugg

Good morning peeps!  Here is my 2nd entry for my design team assignment at The Corrosive Challenge Blog.  This challenge was "Another Dimension", requirements were to add depth and dimension using foam squares, etc.  The sponsor is the wonderful Tiddly Inks again.  This time I chose a super cute image called "Little Bugg", isn't she adorable?  I decided to turn her into a lady bugg by coloring her red, and adding some black spots.  I needed a card for the equally adorable daughter of my friend and neighbor who will be turning one in the Spring.  It seems like just yesterday that we would meet at the fence and try to guess when little Abby would make her appearance in the world!  Her room is decorated with Ladybugs and I helped make some Ladybug pictures for her room, so I thought this was just perfect.

I probably could have used a little MORE dimension in hindsight, but I tried :-)  The ladybug dimensional stickers are from EK Success, actually picked out by my son as a reward when he was potty training.  (Shhh don't tell him I took them).  The polka dot paper is from the "Lady Couture" stack by DCWV, the red checked paper was part of a much larger stack that was a generous gift from my neighbor, we love each other!  The flower buttons were a gift from my mom for Christmas, I tried to pop them up a bit too.  It's a little hard to tell but the image and sentiment are popped up using some foam squares.  Ribbon was actually saved from a gift from my mom who likes to use real ribbon for wrapping instead of the curly or plastic kind.  (It's quite a nice touch, and I totally stole the idea from her for my gift giving...I don't think she minds, lol)  I also end up with lots of re-usable bits and pieces for my crafting, win/win!

Anywho!  Enough rambling for now.  I am still very grateful for the chance to be part of the Corrosive design team, all of the ladies have been so welcoming and gracious so far, and the quality of their work is really inspiring me to try to step up my game.  Have a great weekend!
