Michelle Perkett Birthday

This birthday card is for my Mother-in-Law.  She is a wonderful lady, and is very good to our little family.  Best of all, she has been my son's caretaker since he was an infant (he's 4 now!), and we couldn't be luckier than to have him be with his extended family when he can't be with us.  She is a wonderful, fun, smart, crafty and doting Grandma to all her grandkids.  We recently enrolled my son in Pre-school for the fall, which is happy, exciting and sad all at once.  Even though I've had to leave him before, dropping him off at real school is different, and I have no doubt I will be bawling my eyes out on his first day.

Anywhoozle.  This image is from a set of the Four Seasons Goddesses available at Michelle Perkett Studios.  Her images are so pretty and whimsical and fun to color.  She is colored with Copics, and I added some copper stickles to her headband.

Sketch:  #189 at Sketch Saturday
Papers:  Cratepaper - Pretty Party, "Stitch" (the red lacy one), PaperHeart Collection, "Friendship", and My Mind's Eye, Miss Caroline, "Howdy doody "like" wild flower" (how do they come up with these names?  Seriously.)
Embellishments:  Cloth brads & pearls from stash, Flower trim by Making Memories, the Sqare stickers are Mark Richards crystal Mosaic stickers.  Flowers by Wild Orchid.

Thanks for taking a peek.

Beautiful, of course! But howdy doody what? lol Those are some crazy paper names! :) Gorgeous coloring and love the Stickles on her headband! Your MIL is going to adore it! The kids grow up so fast, don't they? And as moms we just want to keep them with us, keep them safe, sheltered, loved, always. It's okay to cry, but I bet he loves school and it will be amazing for both of you!
