Quickie

Ok, here with a quickie, I really haven't stopped making cards altogether, just don't have a chance to blog them.  Wanted to share this one, made for a co-worker/friend/family member.  He loves to celebrate his bag day, so I had to make a great card.  I have had Brianna Blaster printed out for forever, but always found her a bit daunting to color.  I decided to finally give her a go!

She is colored with Copics, and I added some metal brads, gears, and a clock all from Michaels.  The flower stickers were in my stash, as were the papers.  Overall, I was pretty pleased how she turned out!  And I'm pretty sure the recipient liked it as well.

I will be entering the new "Anything Goes" Challenge over at Kenny K's Krafty Krew.

Happy Friday!!

Thanks for stopping by,

Jasmine

Wishful Thinking!

Holy moly, two posts in just a couple weeks.  I might just be getting some of my mojo back!  It's officially SPRING in New England...so of course, it's SNOWING...again.

To take my mind off this miserable winter, I thought I would have a go at the Challenge going on over at Saturated Canary (drawn by the wonderfully talented Krista Smith), using 1 of 2 (or both) images available here.

I decided to use the super hip Beach Ink image.  As a "collector" of tattoos myself, I just love this tatted up beach babe.  She is colored with Copics, papers are DCWV Tahiti Beach Stack, flowers and embellies from stash and Michaels.  I totally cased the card posted on the Facebook Page by Zara Petkova because it is AMAZING.

Some winners will be chosen by vote, so if you feel so inclined, pop on over here, pick your faves and give them a vote.  Thanks to Krista for the awesome inspiration, and here's hoping it might actually FEEL like spring soon.

Thanks for stopping by!

Corrosive Challenge # 220 - Our Animal Friends

Hello there!  I know I've been quiet for some time now.  Between work, my sons activities, hubby back to work full time, and obligatory crafting, I just wasn't able to keep up with all the challenges and blogging with my Corrosive Challenge team, but I am grateful that Regan let me stay on board behind the scenes, and I love when I do have a chance to participate.

We have a brand new sponsor for this one, the super cute, and very unique Ppinkydolls.  When I saw the images available for this challenge, I just had to make time to play along.  I totally have a thing for owls, so I couldn't resist the adorable Moon Girl and Owl.  Her Etsy shop can be found HERE and you can also find some awesome inspiration at the PPinkydolls Facebook Page.

Our theme for this one is to include an animal on your project.  There are a lot of animal lovers on the team!  The lucky winner will receive a prize of 3 digis!

This cutie is colored with Copics, I love the effect that happens with the shading that's already part of the images.  Papers and embellies all from stash (I really could use a crafty shopping spree).  I was back and forth whether this needed "more" but then I decided it was just fine with just a few things added.

And here's a closeup, for the heck of it.

It was so much fun to play along with this one, and I hope to see lots of entries over at the Corrosive Challenge!

Thanks for stopping by.

Corrosive Challenge # 208 - Fall/Autumn

The air is beginning to have that chill in it, leaves are starting to turn, the kids are back to school (my son has his first seasonal cold, oh joy!), football is on the TV.  Pumpkins, apples and candy are all out in the store.  Fall has officially arrived!  It was a pretty easy choice for the new Corrosive Challenge to ring in the fall season...create an Autumn/Fall themed project.  I was so excited  to welcome back The Paper Shelter as the fab sponsor for the new challenge over at The Corrosive Challenge.  They have a growing collection of adorable, fun, sweet images that have clean lines, excellent print quality, and you even get a colored version with your order!

There are so many perfect images available at The Paper Shelter it's hard to choose just one.  The team was lucky enough to be able to choose from two images Autumn Attitude and Autumn Leaves.
I thought Autumn Leaves would make a perfect card for my son's new teacher for a little beginning of the year gift.

The image is colored with Copics, with a little glitter added to the leaves and butterfly.  I used a cloud shape I cut out of card stock and sponged the background using Adirondack "Cloudy Blue" ink. The brads, and embellies are all part of my stash.  Flowers are a combo of Wild Orchid and Recollections.  Papers are from DCWV "The Wild Splendor" stack.

Now it's time for you to share your festive fall creations over at The Corrosive Challenge.  The lucky winner of this challenge will receive a $20 gift certificate to the Paper Shelter store!  Find a warm and cozy spot, and get your crafty on!

Thanks for stopping by.

Corrosive Challenge # 207 - Let's Hear It For the Boys

Happy Labor Day Weekend!  I love nothing more than a shorter week at work, and an extra day with the family.  We were busy this week with my son starting first grade, and the hubby in his second week at a new job!  It was a little crazy getting used to all the new schedules, but we made it, and are enjoying both some fun and taking care of business this weekend.

The Corrosive Challenge has a fun new challenge for you all, "Let's Hear It For The Boys" - create a masculine project, something for a guy of any age.  Sometimes the men and boys don't get enough attention, so this one's for the fellas!

A new challenge means a new sponsor, and The Corrosive Challenge has a wonderful company lined up!  Please welcome back Meljen's Designs!

Here is a little about them in their own words:

Meljen's Designs is a lovely stamp company owned and illustrated by
Melissa Jenkins. She illustrates whimsical rubber and digital images inspired by her kids and family. Meljen's Designs has a new challenge every Thursday, and a Guest Designer each month at the Meljen's Designs Blog. Please visit the adorable line of Meljen's Designs stamps at our store HERE to browse all of Melissa's lovely designs! You can also see Melissa's exclusive rubber stamps at her corner of Whimsy Stamps, too! Don't forget to join Meljen's Designs on Facebook HERE to take advantage of special sales and promotions that are just for her facebook fans!

They have generously offered a prize of 4 (non colored) images for our winner!

We got to pick from several images, and I got to work with Sports Fan Teddy isn't he the cutest?

Teddy is colored with Copics, and popped up with foam dots.  I kept this one pretty simple, cuz lots of flowers and embellies aren't manly, right?  I think I will be giving this one to my Grampy for his birthday, and he is an avid golfer and fan of the sport.

The golf ball and green are buttons I have had forever, the ticket is Tim Holtz, and the papers and ribbon are from my stash as well.  Sometimes it's nice to do a relatively clean and simple card for a change!

That's about it.  I can't wait to check out what awesome projects everyone has made for the men and boys in their life.  Be sure to join us at The Corrosive Challenge for a chance to win some of these adorable digis for yourself.

Thanks for stopping by!

Corrosive Challenge #206 - B Unique

Our new challenge is to use three items starting with the letter B (bling, brads, bows, blooms, blossoms, buttons, etc). Get creative!

Of course we are featuring a fabulous artist for our new challenge, and we always enjoy the privilege of working with Dilly Beans as a sponsor.

Megan Suarez is the owner and artist behind these fun and quirky images. She has generously offered 3 images of choice for our winner, as well as providing the design team with images to work with. She has an amazing variety of cute & creepy, whimsical images so head over to her shop to check them out!  You can find them over on Facebook too!  Click HERE to join the group!

I worked with Maisie Mermaid.  As my followers may know, I just adore mermaids, and these are no exception.

She is colored with Copics.  Metal brads, papers, bows and flowers are Recollections, the anchor brad is K&Co.

Be sure to join us at the Corrosive challenge.

Corrosive Challenge # 203 - Forever Young

Happy Fourth of July weekend to all of our stateside fans!  Hurricane Arthur put a little bit of a damper on some things, but we hope you all had a wonderful weekend overall.  We have a fun new challenge for you at The Corrosive Challenge Blog, sponsored by A & T Designs, home of the Emerald Faeries. The theme is "forever young" - Create a project for a baby, child, or even the young at heart.

These faeries are just the sweetest, most darling images!  The team had four to choose from for this one.  It was no easy task choosing, but I had a recipient in mind for this one who loves to read, and her twin girls have become avid readers as well, so I went with Bindie.

I just love how this turned out!  I pulled out another old sketch from a folder I have full of them, from Sketch Saturday.

She is colored with Copics, and I cut out a cloud shape and sponged the sky with some ink.  I printed the image twice, and cut out and popped up the lady bugs and dragonfly for a little more dimension.  Papers were from stash, the floral one is Echo Park "Sweet Summertime" and the rainbow stripe is Recollections.  The "So Happy" is a Studio G epoxy brad.

I hope everyone's 4th of July plans weren't ruined completely, I know I enjoyed a day to just be at home and get some crafting, cleaning, and family time in.  Looking forward to seeing some "Forever Young" entries at The Corrosive Challenge.
